Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your tours more expensive?

Our tours are created to be an interactive small group experience with an educated and professional guide. Hours of research, planning and site selection behind the scenes leads to an authentic experience for every guest. Our tours are for the customers who appreciate the value of our experience, knowledge and service oriented approach.

Is this a walking or riding tour?

We offer both walking and riding tours. All tours are designed to bring you the most authentic and interactive experience possible. Each tour is designated as riding or walking in the details.  Riding portions of the tours will be in Gypsy, our 13 passenger climate controlled ghost ride.

What if it rains?

We keep a close watch on weather conditions. The weather here is typically ideal, but mother nature occasionally likes to keep us on our toes. If there is light rain we will continue on with the tour or adventure. With heavy rain, or lightning we will cancel.  Your guide will contact you at least 30 minutes prior to the tour start time if there is a weather cancellation.

Are the Ghost Tours Scary?

The nature of the stories told, and the chance encounter of the supernatural can be thrilling indeed, some experience chills or the hair on the back of their neck standing up, but we've yet to have anyone run!

Do the guides try to scare us?

We never use scare tactics like jump scares, yelling, or screaming. Some tour companies have a flare for the theatrical, we are professional investigators and we let the evidence speak for itself.

Will I see or hear a ghost?

It is never a guarantee, but always a possibility. Many of our guests have experienced interactive or ghostly encounters on our Ghost Tours. Your guide will show you how to interact and use your intuitiveness.

Is alcohol allowed on the tour?

Are your customers raving about you on social media? Share their great stories to help turn potential customers into loyal ones.

Do you allow pets?

We allow small, leashed pets on private tours. However, for everyones safety, unexpected health issues with allergies and to insure all of our guests have a great time we ask that you do not bring pets on the non-private tours.

Do I have to reserve my tickets in advance? Can't we just show up?

Our tour company specializes in small group tours with limited space available for each tour. This allows for better possible ghostly interaction and saves your guide from loosing their voice since they won't be shouting over 30 people. Reservations can be made online on our website or over the phone.

What if I am late for my tour, trip or event?

We start promptly on our outings and encourage everyone to arrive no later than 15 minutes early for check-in. No refunds are given for a no show. Once we have started our phones are not available and we ask that you do not disrupt the tour. Trips and Events at further locations, it would not be possible to catch up once we begin.

Will my guide be wearing a costume on the tour?

No, our tours are non theatrical and we do not wear costumes, we leave those for Halloween and Superheroes.

Why do you not allow small children on group tours?

We love children just as much as the next person, but due to the nature of some of the stories and the possibility of interaction or a ghostly sighting, our tours are marked age appropriate. Private tours are available upon request and can be customized for your needs.

How much walking is involved?

The amount of walking varies on each tour. The Ghost Walk is typically 1 mile or less. Investigative Tours are less than 1/2 mile. All of our tours are designed to give you the most authentic experience.  Any walking is done at a leisurely pace. If you break a sweat it's our lovely Southern humidity, not the walk.

Where do the tours begin & end?

Your emailed conformation will give you the start location for your tour. Tours are designed to bring you back to the beginning location.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We recommend a camera or smartphone for pictures, comfortable shoes, and an open mind. We supply every tour with bottled water. Bug repellant can be a plus in the Spring and Summer months.

Do we stop for bathroom breaks?

The tours typically run straight through without a break. On longer tours and trips bathroom breaks are scheduled.

Do we use any equipment?

Yes, this varies depending on which experience you book. Our History and Cemetery tours do not use equipment.  The A Night Among Ghosts tour features equipment use and trigger objects. The Other Side of Night begins in our Haunted Parlor and contains equipment use, trigger objects, and intuitive communication through different mediums like pendulums, spirit boards, ghost boxes, and apps.

Can I bring my own equipment?

Certainly, just make sure it is labeled with your name. Do keep in mind whether you are booking a tour or adventure, certain equipment can be cumbersome and prove difficult  to get accurate readings on the walking tours.
